studio PLATT is a Brussels-based design studio founded by Joe Platt, dedicated to designing furniture and objects that prioritize sustainability and circularity.

Joe Platt is a furniture designer and maker driven by a passion for hands-on experimentation, prototyping and thoughtful design. His designs reflect a thoughtful balance of innovation, functionality, and aesthetics, with a commitment to creating pieces that last and tell a story.

With a background in architecture from TU Delft (NL) and extensive experience in the 3D printing and digital fabrication sector, Joe brings a unique blend of creativity and technical expertise to his work. After years of designing, developing and manufacturing 3D-printed products, Joe decided to reconnect with the tangible aspects of making and creating. This led him to pursue further studies in furniture design at VOMO Mechelen (BE), where he refined his craft and deepened his commitment to sustainable design. 

Whether designing a one-off furniture piece or exploring new possibilities in material reuse, studio PLATT is about more than design; it’s about shaping a better relationship between people, objects, and the environment.
