The design of the stool is influenced by finding a way to reuse and reinvent an unusual and distinctive raw material. In this case the design originates from old radiator covers. The 90 degree curved plywood panels were previously used as radiator covers in the WTC towers in Brussels before removal for renovation. To utilize the panels to make the best of their inherent features, the stool inverts their former decorative function forcing them instead into a structural balancing act. The stool honours the form of its origin by way of transformation into a new object with a new story to tell.
